I'm not even going to give myself time to come up with a million and one excuses as to why I don't blog often or really just not at all. I've spent the last hour reading through my first couple of years of posting on here.. a whole 6 years ago. In that time I have finished school, finished university and been working full time for the last two and a half years, like seriously where has the time gone?!
For the last two years I have been in two minds whether to keep my blog and keep trying my hardest to blog, whether to delete the past and start a fresh or whether to just not bother at all. You've got the likes of Zoella and Tanya Burr to compete with these days, although they don't blog half as much as they used to back in the day they are still dominating the social media world more with every blink you make. I feel like blogging has had its hayday and it's now Instagram and Youtube that have taken over. It's a whole area of the internet that has become so saturated that it's kinda hard to find a niche spot anymore.
In the words of what I saw on a wall in York.. 'Don't be scared, think f*ck it, you only live once'.. or YOLO in the words of the youth that I'm not down with anymore. From reading my posts from 6 years ago I really, really used to bloody enjoy writing and why should that change because of a few famous people. Yeah. I may not be niche enough but I can relate to the average Joe. I'm not going to set myself any goals or promise to write 1200 posts a day but I'm going to try get my mojo back. Even in Youtube is becoming the new blogosphere, I'm more about writing my feelings than speaking them, also, I hate the sound of my voice, I sound like a strangled Yordie, my made up voice of Geordie with a Yorkshire twang to it.
Peace out and I'll see you all on the flip side of my next post. X
